「清明上河圖」是畫史上熱門畫題,明代以來更蔚為風潮。此件舊傳仇英所作,觀其用筆設色應是明代後期,所謂「蘇州片」的作坊作品。畫中景觀多有趣味,如雜技、走索、校閱等,對船隻的描繪也充滿奇想。全卷山石以青碧設色,後段對宮殿園囿的描寫更是華麗。此件引首為乾隆帝為寶親王時期所題,由梁詩正代筆書寫,是早入清宮收藏者,對乾隆元年完成的「清院本清明上河圖」之創繪有相當影響。(20120408)

The title here refers to one of the most popular subjects in Chinese painting, attracting great interest since the Ming dynasty. The brushwork and coloring of this work suggest it is a so-called “Suzhou imitation” from the late Ming. The scenery is very interesting, including acrobatics, tightrope walking, and honor guards. The rendering of the boat is also quite inventive. The mountains are done in “blue-and-green,” the palace garden in the rear even more opulent. This work bears a frontispiece composed by the Qing emperor Qianlong while still a prince and transcribed by Liang Shizheng. One of the early works to enter the Qing imperial collection, it had a major influence on the court production of this subject completed in Qianlong’s first year (1736).(20120408)
